Maryann Cotton is a Danish / American shock rock singer, songwriter, and musician / hard rock band formed in 2007.

He is considered by fans and peers alike to be “The Prince Of Shock Rock” and with energetic live performances he has made plenty of positive publicity around the world.
Maryann Cotton – named after a famous serial killer – recorded in 2012 his debut album “Free Falling Angels”, which was featured and recorded by the original King Diamond band from 1989 / 1990, the album sold more than 20,000 copies in Europe – and managed to get on the U.S. Top 20 list as #8 in the New York Magazine Herald & Review.

Expanding from his hard rock roots, in his career Cotton has experimented with a number of musical styles, including art rock, hard rock, heavy metal, New Wave, pop rock, experimental rock, industrial rock, and conceptual rock.
In the summer of 2013, Maryann entered a collaboration with the world famous songwriter and producer Dick Wagner.
Wagner has worked with Aerosmith, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Tina Turner, Guns N ‘Roses, Meat Loaf, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Peter Gabriel, Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart, Frank Sinatra and dozens of others.

Wagner wrote a full concept album together with Maryann, ”Chester Rose  – The Legend Begins”  where he brought in Alice Cooper to write three songs for him. They never released the album, Dick Wagner died in 2014 – few weeks before the final studio recordings.

Maryann stated : ”The album will see the light of day when the right time comes”

The album was supposed to be recorded in Hollywood California, and feature guest musicians and producers, including Mikkey Dee, Hal Patino, Susan Michelson, Warren Huart and Jack Douglas, who has worked with names such as, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, David Bowie, The Who, Slash, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, and dozens of others.

In 2015 – and after Dick Wagner’s death, Maryann did a guest performance at the Dick Wagner memorial concert at The Fillmore in Detroit. Afterwards he signed a worldwide record deal with German label 7 Hard Records, and began to write new material together with his co-writer Hal Patino. They wrote 10 songs for the 2nd Maryann Cotton album ”Into Eternity” which was released Worldwide in November 2015.

In February 2016, Maryann Cotton went back to Detroit to perform at the 2nd annual Dick Wagner memorial concert at The Fillmore, and went to Europe to do a full European tour on his 2nd release ”Into Eternity”.

Maryann is Associated with some of the world’s greatest rock bands of all time, and has been a part or involved with clients such as Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Europe, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Kiss, and many other bands.
