Maryann Cotton has entered into collaboration with Alice Cooper guitarist/collaborator Dick Wagner to produce his new album.
”Wagner is one of my biggest heroes,” said Cotton. “I have listened to all his stuff with Alice Cooper, LOU REED, AEROSMITH and KISS since I was a kid, so it’s such a big thing for me to work with him. He has become one of my closest friends over the last few months. We are in very close contact, and are talking every week about the whole thing. We have some big plans and ideas for the future!”
The album is to be a concept album, and in the words of Cotton, will be “the most terrifying horror story ever told”.

KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque will make a guest appearance on the sophomore album from Maryann Cotton.
La Rocque previously played on Cotton’s debut CD, last year’s “Free Falling Angels“, on the tracks “Crazy”, “Night Train To Paris”, “Miss Misery”, “Shock Me” and “Maryann”.
Maryann states: “Andy is a genius on the guitar, and I am very proud to present him again on the upcoming album. The solos he did on the last album were brilliant, especially the one he did on ‘Maryann’; it’s definitely one of my favorites, and absolutely one of the best he ever has done, in my opinion!

It has now been confirmed that Alice Cooper guitarist/collaborator Dick Wagner will appear on the next Maryann Cotton album.
Maryann who calls Wagner “one of my biggest heroes and inspirations ever,” is currently working on material for the follow-up to this year’s “Free Falling Angels”, which will feature contributions from his father Hal Patino. Maryann says, “The last album, ‘Free Falling Angels’, was a very classic rock-inspired album, and the idea is to go darker on the next one, and show a more darker side of the character. We expect to be ready in February next year, to go in the studio and start the recordings for the album.”
